302 Rebrand
Jun 17, 2021

We have learned to expect the unexpected. Since 2014, every project we’ve worked on has always finished differently from what we had anticipated. Our biggest project is 302 itself. If you haven’t noticed, we’ve been changing what we do and how we do things around here. For the last seven years, we have evolved from an independent game studio to an interactive design firm. Through the diversity of our projects, we’ve experienced extraordinary growth, paving the way for how industries can use technology as problem-solving tools.
That’s why we’re rebranding, starting with our visuals, mission and our future focus of 302.
Our work is diverse, ranging from virtual reality software designed to improve physical health like Verapy Therapy, all the way to mafia-themed strategy games like The Commission. While it is exciting to see how far we’ve gotten, we couldn’t have anticipated it back in 2014. That is why we focus on a new mission statement:   Making every day life a more playful experience.
With our rebrand, we’re altering the values we present in the work we do. We embrace  Growth, Novelty. Experimentation Transparency, Longevity, and Efficiency   the 6 values that make up what we call Creative Stability or keystone.
Our new visuals reflect these values head-on. We took inspiration from early classic video games, with a bright, ethereal neon glow incorporated into our new look. From the grid-like world of Tron and ancient labyrinths to the classic game cubes, our new visual identity gives a nod to our brand values and vision. As we’re driven by our design philosophy “Everyday Play,” we’re inspired by those who have preceded us.

Our new visual identity represents the strength, symmetry and structure of a solid building block. As we “build products that shape the human experience,” we emphasize those qualities and turn them into creative stability. You might’ve played with our creatively stable work in the past.
With our rebrand, we are driven by our new motto: “game designers saving the world.” So, yes, we are game designers (humbly) saving the world, but the way we’ve done so has evolved. It’s evolved so much that it demands a good look at how we do things around here. Our rebrand directly addresses that question, reflecting 302 Interactive in a way that is true to our past, present and future work.
